I am a 2L and I just lost my summer internship. I really enjoyed my tax law class and did well in it. Any advice on how to try and do something in that field this summer? Especially now since it’s so late in the year.

Tax clinics at school? Or take tax classes, like corporate, estate, partnership tax, etc.

Sadly, the school does not have a tax clinic nor does it offer tax classes over the summer.

Try looking for a Low Income Taxpayer Clinic in your state and reach out to see if there’s anything you can do to help. Some taxpayer clinics are doing a lot in light of COVID-19 and could probably use some help.
Here is one example, but there are examples across the country funded by federal grant money.
Try finding any work you can, and look into the tax implications of anything. Even bankruptcy has tax issues. Volunteering for things like VITA.
