I made some money from TikTok’s Creator Program last year, and the money is paid out through PayPal. I didn’t get any 1099-NEC forms from TikTok, but I did get a 1099-K from PayPal showing said earnings, so I want to use that to file my taxes. I am not sure if TikTok is still yet to send out a form later this month or if it’s just PayPal.
On FreeTaxUSA, I select “PayPal” from the list of sites, and then it asks me to select what the form is from—Personal Transactions, Business, or Rents Received. I assume TikTok counts as “Business,” so I select that, and then it tells me to fill out a Schedule C form instead. As I said, I don’t have a 1099-NEC from TikTok (unless they just haven’t sent it yet), so this is the only option that’s left.
The form I have from PayPal says 1099-K on it, so why can’t I just fill out the 1099-K portion when filing? I’m self-filing, so idk if I’m doing something wrong. Please help. Thank you!
The Schedule C is where business income goes, regardless of what method you are paid. You don’t have to have a 1099-NEC to file a Schedule C; it’s for all kinds of business income.

How do I know if I’m an artificial living person? Kinda worried now.

It has something to do with indictments using ALL CAPS for names, which refers to CORPORATE ENTITIES with the same name as a natural living person.
